According to eMarketer, personalization technologies have improved the overall online shopping experience by creating dynamic pages that sell products and display ads tailored and targeted to the individual. However, while consumers like personalized features, they remain wary of providing personal information to Web sites. The e-tailing group found that 92% of U.S. retail Web sites provide visitors with some form of a personalized "my account" feature.
