Thanks to Dana Jenks' classroom antics and infectious enthusiasm for her subject, student enrollment in her Tahoe Park, Calif., high school's physics classes has surged from 25 to 182 over the past four years. Jenks dresses like the "Star Trek" character Mr. Spock, assigns her students the task of designing cars and takes her students to a nearby theme park to conduct lab experiments.
