Four medical societies are warning that people taking some drugs for schizophrenia, manic-depression, autism and other psychiatric disorders may be at risk for developing diabetes, obesity and high levels of cholesterol. At issue in the warning are the drugs Abilify, Clozaril, Geodon, Risperdal, Seroquel and Zyprexa, and the groups warn takers of those drugs should be watched for signs they are developing diabetes.
