Contractors and subcontractors on the project to build the EPA campus in Research Triangle Park have filed claims stating they are owed payment -- claims that would push it to more than $80 million over its contracted price. Clark Construction says the General Services Administration is responsible for several delays that put the project behind schedule. "These are a very large amount of claims," said Dave Simpson, North Carolina building director for the Carolinas AGC. "Having to go unpaid is very challenging to do and keep their business going."
