The diet a pregnant woman eats directly affects the longevity of her child's life, a study based on mice experiments says. Mice who ate a protein-rich diet had babies that lived six months longer than ones who had mothers that were fed a low-protein diet, and mice from malnourished mothers also were more likely to develop heart disease and high blood pressure.
