About 55% of U.S. adult Internet users access the 'Net via a broadband connection, a Pew Internet & American Life Project study found. Cable modems are more popular, but DSL has grown from a 28% share last year to 42% this year, the study says. However, a large portion of the online community remains perfectly content to surf the Internet via dial-up connections, another report found.
