Children's versions of Celexa, Effexor, Paxil and Zoloft are considered particularly dangerous to prescribe to children who are suicidal because they are unsafe or at least ineffective, according to a meta-analysis of studies by the British medical journal, the Lancet. The journal cited previously unrevealed data, which also is in the hands of the FDA, showing much more serious problems with the four antidepressants than ever acknowledged by the American medical community and pharmaceutical makers.
