A study of data on 5,000 children shows an alarming increase in average pediatric blood pressure. The increases of 1.4 points in the top systolic reading and 3.3 in the bottom diastolic reading may not appear to be large, but experts say they could raise the risk of developing high blood pressure, and the increases serve as another indication of the health risks the nation's obesity epidemic is placing on children.
