Lockheed Martin and the U.S. Air Force are more willing to talk about specifics of their F/A-22 Raptor programs to make Congress aware of the need for the stealth aircraft. Part of the reason for the willingness to discuss what usually is a closely held secret is a new report about test engagements between Indian air force Su-30MKs and F-15Cs that showed the Indian air force performing well. The report may change the generally held view that the U.S. Air Force won't face superior air forces from other countries.
