A medical glove has been designed to emit a germ-fighting gas that's safe to humans, but can destroy every microorganism from HIV to E. coli. While some gloves already exist that contain a virus-killing liquid between layers of fabric, the new gloves, made by Bernard Technologies and expected on the U.S. market by the end of the year, have the potential to reduce cross-contamination even more by using a chemical that is commonly used to disinfect drinking water, meat and seafood.
