Drivers gawking at the construction of the second span of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge in Washington state were getting into accidents, but now a nearby stretch of beach serves as the official viewing spot for the bridge construction. Visitors can check out the progress on the largest suspension bridge built in the U.S. in more than three decades through free telescopic viewers. "We had known from the outset that there was going to be curiosity" about the project, said a spokeswoman for the project.
