Media reports suggest Shaw's Supermarkets plans to cut more than 300 jobs from its stores. Shaw's said the cuts will allow for more flexible scheduling at the affected stores and that employees would be offered other positions. The chain, owned by Albertsons since March, is set to begin contract talks with the United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 791 within days.
