A new report indicates that while all produce is good for you, "powerhouse" vegetables and fruits are best and should be eaten more often. Powerhouse produce includes green leafy vegetables, yellow/orange vegetables and fruits, cruciferous vegetables and citrus fruit, all of which have concentrated sources of nutrients that help reduce cancer and heart disease. A nutritionist counsels, however, that other produce also provides a good source of vitamins and minerals and recommends variety.
