Skateboarders worldwide are expected to be attracted to a world-class skateboard park being built in Florence, Ore. The park is being constructed by Florence's Airspeed Skateparks LLC, which already has built six parks around the U.S. and in Mexico. Airspeed co-owner Stephanie Mohler says she prefers using concrete to construct the parks, even though it's more expensive than steel or plastic prefabricated parks, because it is "malleable, long-lasting, and you can build freeform structures and crazy shapes."
