Fish consumption already is linked to a host of health benefits, and researchers now say you can add prevention of heart irregularities to that list. According to a new study, consumption of fish that is baked or broiled, but not fried, can help reduce the risk of atrial fibrillation, an irregular heartbeat condition that affects more than 2 million Americans and which can be deadly. The researchers concluded, however, fish preparation probably had less to do with developing the condition than the type of fish consumed.
