Several weeks after chunks of concrete started falling loose at Wrigley Field in Chicago, pieces of concrete fell from a bridge over the city's Dan Ryan Expressway and narrowly missed cars driving by. The bridge was built in 1961 and is due for an overhaul soon, and the Illinois Department of Transportation plans to inspect other area bridges for the same problem, which officials blamed on the "deterioration of old concrete."
