A spokesman for Endeavor AC, a company that has been in talks to acquire the former Atlantic Club in Atlantic City, N.J., refuted claims that its deal has fallen through. Owner TJM Properties had announced earlier that the property is once again for sale after Endeavor failed to secure funds for the deal. Endeavor's proposal calls for an 81,000-square-foot indoor water park, hotel, ballroom, swim-up bars and meeting space. The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority approved the plan in July.
An investment group has revised its plans for a boutique hotel at the site of Minneapolis' Fairmont Hotel. The proposal increases the number of rooms from 24 suites to 53 rooms, with about 25 suites. Plans for the well-known La Belle Vie restaurant to be part of the project have been scrapped.
Construction will start in November on a $40 million, 310-suite Embassy Suites Hotel and 80,000-square-foot convention center in Concord, N.C. John Q. Hammons says the project will cater to NASCAR fans and business and leisure travelers.
