Editors of several medical journals are expected this week to announce their agreement to require researchers to register their research as a condition for having their work published. It is believed the prior registration will have the effect of drug companies disclosing clinical trial results, positive and negative, so their positive results will be published. The requirement is expected to be announced tomorrow at a congressional hearing on the subject of pediatric trials of antidepressants.
