On Wednesday, the Nevada legislature approved the hiring of a state employee to help local districts fight the rising tide of cheating, as standardized testing and the use of cell phones and calculators become more common. State Superintendent of Public Instruction Keith Rheault says while last year's rate of 24 incidents out of 30,000 tests is not high, now is the time to establish a statewide standardized approach to the problem.
