After reviewing test data from the Anne Arundel County, Md., school system, which had recently switched from the Everyday Mathematics curriculum to the more traditional Saxon Math, parent Karen Budd lobbied her Fairfax County, Va., district to do likewise. Washington Post education writer Jay Mathews warns that educators better prepare to deal with other activist parents armed with easily-attainable testing data from the Internet.
