Although Bombardier has long led the regional jet market worldwide, it is facing a strong challenge from Brazil-based Embraer, a report says. Analysts said Embraer has a head start in the 100-plus-passenger market, though Bombardier is looking at developing the CSeries, a 110- to 135-passenger regional jet. Sales of 50-seat jets are expected to decline steadily as demand focuses on larger, longer-range aircraft.
