While crowded urban areas may have their own particular health hazards, new research shows people who live in the suburbs, where they drive more and walk less, have greater chronic health problems, such as high blood pressure, arthritis, headaches and breathing difficulties. Areas rated worst for suburban sprawl include Atlanta, Riverside-San Bernardino, Calif., and Winston-Salem, N.C.
