The Rainforest Alliance has certified a new chocolate produced in a manner it says causes minimal environmental damage. The "sustainable chocolate" is said to have "exotic, jungle accents and aromas, a notable lack of acidity and bitterness, a higher concentration of cocoa than sugar and a longer lasting flavor than ordinary bulk chocolate." Vintage Chocolates is distributing the chocolate in the U.S.
Walgreens joins more than 100 companies in seeking approval to market a Medicare-endorsed prescription discount card for seniors. The card will be marketed through the company's prescription benefit management subsidiary, Walgreens Health Initiatives.
