With a monthly influx of 5,000 new residents and a constant flow of tourists, the streets of Las Vegas take quite a pounding, but the city is going with the flow, building 30 miles of new roads every year and using an $11 million annual budget for street maintenance wisely. In day-to-day maintenance, officials devised a program for simple asphalt repairs that support heavy traffic.
