As developers step up to the need for new government and medical buildings, new standards are being set in security, environmental sensitivity and technological design. A new courthouse being built in Denver will feature state-of-the art security features developed after the 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, and a hospital in nearby Boulder will be the first in the country to receive the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
