A federal appeals court has lifted an injunction that prevented fiber rights-of-way lawsuits against Sprint, Qwest Communications, Level 3 Communications and Williams from proceeding. The plaintiffs are seeking compensation for the telcos' use of approximately 36,000 miles of rights-of-way along railroad lines during massive fiber-optic buildouts in the 1980s.
