As medical science links C-reactive protein to inflammation and possible heart attacks, doctors are finding themselves having to decide whether they should counsel patients to do anything possible to reduce their CRP levels. There is disagreement among doctors, some of whom seek to aggressively lower CRP levels while others take a more cautious approach and want to see more test results on the issue before becoming more aggressive in treatment.
