Although not confirmed by company representatives, press reports indicate that four agencies are vying for Mattel's media-planning account: Group M of WPP Group, MindShare, MediaVest of Publicis Groupe and Mediaedge:cia. Currently, Mattel's planning chores are split between MindShare and Mediaedge:cia. The toy maker spends an estimated $100 million annually on advertising.
