A 17-year-old student at Red Lake High on Red Lake Indian Reservation in northern Minnesota yesterday killed seven people at the school, his grandfather and a companion at his grandfather's home, and then himself in what was the deadliest school shooting since the Columbine tragedy in 1999. Members of the Red Lake Ojibwa Nation reacted with shock and disbelief, and Minn. Gov. Tim Pawlenty called for a day of remembrance for the victims. The FBI said it is investigating the incident.
