Energy and fruit drinks can take a high toll on tooth enamel in children and young adults, a new study concludes. Researchers who immersed cavity-free teeth into canned or bottled drinks for 14 days, said to be the equivalent of 13 years of normal consumption, found that the most caustic beverages for tooth enamel were KMX Energy Drink, followed closely by Snapple Classic Lemonade, Red Bull Energy Drink and lemon-lime Gatorade.
