Craigslist founder Craig Newmark says the online classified site could become a forum for community journalists, with users writing, fact-checking and critiquing news items. Newmark said he has consulted with Grassroots Media founder Dan Gillmor and Jeff Jarvis, author of the blog buzzmachine.com, on adding user-generated news to the craigslist site.
Advertisers are reluctant to buy into VOD until a reliable system of measurement is created, according to a report by Forrester Research. The report advocates a model that allows viewers to opt-in to watch long-form ads, or one based on a pay-per-click strategy similar to Google's.
