Honeywell said it would cut 2,000 aerospace jobs in an effort to consolidate its aerospace business. The company on Wednesday posted second-quarter profits of $306 million, down from $361 million a year ago. The current quarter's results include a charge of $155 million. Chief Executive Officer Dave Cote said orders are up and noted pricing and productivity improvements have helped offset higher commodity and material costs.
