Christian merchants say they are losing market share to big-box retailers like Wal-Mart, Target and Costco, which increasingly are stocking religious-themed books, DVDs and other products. For example, last year's DVD release of "The Passion of the Christ" listed at $26.99, but was discounted by Wal-Mart to $17.97, a reduction few independent retailers could match.
