The new owners of the District of Columbia's largest hotel -- the
Marriott Wardman Park, plan to give the 1,300-room property a $50
million renovation that will include converting part of the hotel to
residences. Thayer Lodging Group, of Annapolis, Md., recently sold the hotel to
JBG and CIM Group in a deal said to be worth about $300 million.
