Despite high gas prices, most vacationers are not cutting back their travel plans for this summer, and the U.S. tourism industry does not appear to be suffering from the increases. New York City, Atlanta, St. Louis and San Francisco are all reporting strong tourism-related numbers, and Americans are spending an average of $1,019 on their longest vacations this summer.
