At a closely watched trial to determine the fate of the Dover, Pa., school board's policy on intelligent design, Michigan State University philosophy professor Robert T. Pennock testified that intelligent design is an amalgam of many religious views and said it could not be considered science since it was not testable. Lawyers for the school district argued it's wrong to link intelligent design with religion just because its proponents have discussed their faith.
