Mineta estimated costs to repair roadways and bridges damaged by Hurricane Katrina could run between $2 billion and $2.5 billion, and announced several contracts have already been awarded. Inc., Gautier, Miss.; Warren Paving Inc., Hattiesburg, Miss; and Huey Stockstill Inc., Picayune, and Louisiana has already begun its bid process.
