Pregnant women who consume more than three cups of coffee per day have an increased risk of fetal death compared to women who don't drink coffee during pregnancy, according to a new study. Researchers reviewing the records of 88,482 women found who drank one-half to three cups of coffee per day had a 3% increased risk of fetal death, and those who had four to seven cups a day had a 33% greater chance of fetal death.
