Online retailers enjoyed a strong 2005 holiday sales season, according to two reports. ComScore Networks says sales in the eight weeks leading up to Christmas totaled $18.11 billion, compared with $14.5 billion the year prior, while the eSpending report from Goldman, Sachs & Co., Nielsen//Net Ratings and Harris Interactive showed $30.1 billion in online holiday sales, a 30% hike over last year.
