A Florida Supreme Court ruling last week that struck down the Opportunity Scholarship program could jeopardize the large McKay voucher program for special-education students, as well as another voucher scheme for low-income children. Although voucher foes say they may contest the remaining programs, some observers contend the justices' explicit protection of a forerunner to McKay and a completely different funding system for the other will help thwart a legal challenge.
