Philadelphia-based Comcast has dropped its local creative and media-buying agencies of record in favor of larger, nationally connected shops. The cable giant last month replaced the Star Group of Cherry Hill, N.J., with Publicis Groupe's MediaVest for its $100 million corporate media-buying account. That moved followed last year's creative switch from Red Tettemer, Philadelphia, to Goodby Silverstein & Partners, San Francisco.
