The Treasury Department says it will stop collecting a 3% tax on phone
calls billed based on distance and duration, which includes wireless
communications. CTIA-The Wireless Association(r) President and CEO Steve
Largent praised the move, saying it will allow consumers and the
industry to "turn their attention and efforts to repealing
discriminatory wireless taxes on the state and local level." As a result
