FCC rules requiring VoIP providers to allow federal wiretapping could pose security risks because individual VoIP services allow users to make calls from whatever IP address they choose, a new report says. "...applying CALEA to the centralized architecture of the PSTN is a piece of cake compared to applying the law to the decentralized architecture of the Internet," the report says.
