Skyrocketing construction costs have caused the industry to look at alternative methods, and tilt-up, used since the 1940s to quickly and cheaply construct industrial buildings, has been a solution for Neyer Construction. Tilt-up uses walls cast out of concrete panels lying flat on the ground that are lifted simultaneously to accept the building's roof, and they are $4 cheaper per-square-foot than masonry walls.
