Last Friday, CBS petitioned a federal court to overturn the $550,000 fine levied against the network for the infamous "wardrobe malfunction" incident during Janet Jackson's appearance on the Super Bowl halftime show in 2004. In a statement, CBS apologized for the "the inappropriate and unexpected" incident. A spokeswoman for the FCC, which intends to oppose the appeal, said: "Millions of parents, as well as Congress, understand what CBS does not: Janet Jackson's 'wardrobe malfunction' was indeed indecent."
