The Department for Education is sending guidelines to schools in England to help them combat cyberbullying, to which, one study suggests, up to 20% of students aged 11 through 16 have been subjected. The guidelines include advising schools to develop specific strategies on cyberbullying and advising young people to alert adults to any hateful e-mails, text messages or phone calls they receive.
