Brands such as Edy's Slow Churned, Breyers Light Double Churned and Haagen-Dazs Light are utilizing new technology to emulate full-fat super-premium ice creams without adding more chemicals and preservatives. Reduced-fat ice cream is the one segment of the ice cream market that is growing in sales, while sales of full-fat ice cream have remained flat for three years, according to a dairy industry group.
