Federal Trade Commission Chairman Deborah Platt Majoras has added a new twist to the debate over Net neutrality, by asserting her agency's authority to regulate the Internet and questioning the need for new legislation on the issue. "Let me make clear that if broadband providers engage in anticompetitive conduct, we will not hesitate to act using our existing authority," she said in a speech at the Progress & Freedom Foundation's annual conference in Aspen, Colo.
