A hotel workers' union is calling for a boycott of the Hilton Los Angeles Airport. Two groups already have canceled events at the hotel, whose general manager said it is the employees who ultimately will pay the price of a boycott, because a drop in business means fewer hours and tips.
Walton Street Capital says it expects to sell eight Marriott Renaissance Hotels that it purchased from Marriott International Inc. one year ago for $578 million. The hotels going up for sale include properties in Washington, D.C., Chicago; Atlanta; Los Angeles; Indian Wells, Calif.; Austin, Texas; Scottsdale, Ariz.; and St. Petersburg, Fla.
