According to two new surveys, Medicare recipients say they are generally satisfied with the new prescription drug coverage, but many feel the program's design could be improved and some say it is not saving them money. One survey from the Kaiser Family Foundation found that 80% of 1,585 beneficiaries surveyed were satisfied with their Medicare drug plans, but nearly two in 10 had encountered problems with the benefit; and in a Health Affairs Survey, only 30% of 1,571 seniors polled thought the drug program was well designed.
